Lately, during my time away from this blog (no excuse, I know), I've been working on making patterns. Nothing too extravagant. Something that is simple and would work great for computer backgrounds, stationary, and craft projects. I hope you enjoy this video tutorial. Let me know if you have any questions :)

My design "Glitch Please" on sale at KOHLS!!!
Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh!!!
Earlier this year, I received an email from Threadless stating that my t shirt design was selected to sale in local stores. I was excited but never thought that they would be sold in Kohl's!
This experience just taught me not to give up. I AM good enough! Yes, I have gone through so much and I thought I was down for the count. I felt like I have worked so hard but had nothing to show for it. I have given so much just to be let down and that hurt. I was so close to just letting art and writing go all together. My creativity was shot and the passion was not there. But thank the Lord!!! I thank my Sweetheart who has been there for me this past year. I thank my family and friends. I really wouldn't have seen this day if it had not been for their encouragement, prayers and love. I am truly blessed and honored to see this happen. Hallelujah!!!

Designing T-shirts and Threadless
![]() |
My newest design submitted to Threadless :) |
One thing that I really like about this new found hobby is that it keeps me on my toes. I feel like I am able to explore and experiment in different ways. Each new challenge pulls me out of my comfort zone and forces me to approach my designs differently. I love it.
Not to mention that there are so many talented people on there. At first, it can seem a bit overwhelming and intimidating, but I found that there are quite a few people who are willing to give you tips on your designs as well as encouragement. So, yeah. The Threadless community is pretty awesome. I highly suggest Threadless for any of you who are interested in designing t-shirts or giving your artwork a little exposure.

Updates
Hey all!
It' has been a while since I got on here. So I know that some are probably wondering how my new years resolution is going. So far, I think I am doing good. I am drawing and writing more and just focusing on my goals. I have not been posting as much so I need to change that. But I do have some news!
I've entered a Nickelodeon T-shirt Design Contest on Threadless and here are my designs!

I am super excited about this because this is my first design contest, ever! Please be sure to vote :)
