Updates
Hey everyone! I know that it has been a while since I have posted anything. Right now I am getting ready to re-open my Etsy shop under the name of TeaTeasTreats :) I am super excited. My goal for the shop is to sale beautiful jewelry and art at an affordable price. Much of my jewelry will cost no more than $30 (not including shipping). I will be selling cameo earrings and necklaces as well as deco tins and crocheted cuties. The best part is that I am TRADE FRIENDLY, meaning if you see something you like but you don't want to pay cash for it, I may be willing to trade an item from my shop with something from your shop. I am still getting it together, but my goal is to have it open by June 20th.
Am I over reacting, Please tell me
Today I was looking through Hottopic.com to see if they had any good sales going on. What I happened to find was kinda disturbing. I found a pair of cute Vampire Mary Jane's, but why did they look so familiar? Could I have seen this design somewhere else? As I sat there, gawking at my screen, it hits me. These look very similar to Em and Sprouts Vampire shoes! I tried to reason with myself... Maybe I am over reacting...maybe this is a mistake. Then I am reminded about the jewelry I saw inside of the store a few months ago. Some of the pieces looked like those that could be found on Etsy.com.
Sadly, this is not the first time I have seen this happen. Last year, Acrylicana found out that her cupcake design was being mass produced and sold on t-shirts by a well known store. Honestly, I understand emulating a style and I understand that not all designs are original (as in someone loooong ago thought about it before someone else)...but to flat out take, mass produce, and sale someone else's work is bad juju! I mean if someone likes the idea, do it in a way that it is unique...or at least have permission to sale the FINAL creation (I.E. Some one gives you permission to sale a final product resulting from a crochet pattern, not the actual pattern itself).
Why does it seem that some of the bigger companies think that the copyrights laws does not apply to them? If a company saw me selling a bunch of designs that looked verrrrrry similar to their design, then they would push The Button! I won't get in deeper with this because it will start another conversation and then we would have to get into details...
I know that Merchandise Designers are looking for new original designs, but this is nuts. I know that there is a lot that goes on with copyrights, but I really do feel that this action has someway violated the law. Am I over reacting? How do you all feel about this topic?

Yummy Eyeshadows: Rock~A~Betty Beauty!
Hey everyone, I am back! And this time I have a little review. A few weeks ago, I started really getting into makeup. I mean, I'd wear some every once in a while, but I was not really serious about it. Late one night, I was browsing youtube and admiring all of the colorful and creative looks that the gurus did with eyeshadow. I really love the pigmented look, but I wanted a nice quality eyeshadow without paying an arm and a leg for it.
Just then, I stumbled upon a video by Msdeeva305. Her video listed Rock~A~Betty Beauty as one of the best eyeshadows to buy at an affordable price, and I totally agree!
What I really like about about Rock~A~Betty Beauty's eyeshadows is that they were pigmented...without primer :) A lot of times one must use primer to make the color pop, but not this product. I also like that these eyeshadows could be blended for an everyday look. When the colors are patted on, the eyeshadow is more intense than if they were blended into the lid. Another think that I liked about this product is that I did not have to use a whole lot of eyeshadow to make the colors show! If you have my skin tone, you know how hard it can be for colors to show up; but with this product, the colors show.
My favorite eyeshadows from this line were: Potty Mouth, Housewife, Roe, and Kink. I plan on posting some of my looks later on with these specified eyeshadows.
I bought some for my friend and I am planning on going back to purchase some for me.
*HEADS UP*
Because these are loose pigments, you should be careful when you open the jar, you do not want your product to spill :)

Wiggin Out
Alright, I know that I have not been around for a while and I do apologize. I have just been sooo busy. What, you busy, nooooo. Well, yes actually, and I have the photos to prove it! Now you may have noticed that my profile picture has change ^w^ Well, a while back, I was thinking about coloring my hair. I wanted a dramatic change without it being permanent. In my last post, I was wearing colored bangs. I like it so much that I decided to invest in wigs!
I received a lot of questions on why I wanted a wig. I would get "You don't need a wig, your hair is so pretty" or "why would you want a wig, your hair is already long!" I want a wig the same reason other people wear wigs, versatility. Not to mention that about 10+ years of Sailor Moon intake soon had me yearning for bubble gum pink hair! I also bought the wig because of style. I love my hair length, but sometimes seeing myself with a short cut makes me feel all sassy :)
Coming soon in my next post: A Day on the Town (featuring my friend Arie, me, and this awesome wig)
